Yemen Under Attack for Refusal to Abandon Gaza

On Thursday, Israel bombarded Sanaa and Hodeidah, killing at least 9 people and targeting public infrastructure, including Sanaa’s power grid. The bombing severely impacted one fourth of Sanaa, a city of 3.5 million people. This attack was the latest in Israel's failed attempts to inflict collective punishment against the Yemeni people for their steadfast solidarity with Gaza.

The Israeli “Defense” Minister Katz went so far as to state this policy of collective punishment explicitly, claiming:

“Whoever raises a hand against the state of Israel, his hand will be cut off. Whoever harms us, will be harmed sevenfold.”

Despite these threats, the Yemeni people took to the streets today by the millions in Sanaa, Hodeidah, Sa'ada, and throughout the country. These mass mobilizations took on the slogan: "With Gaza, struggle, mobilization and alertness... we are ready to deter any aggression."

From Sanaa to Rafah: resistance until liberation!
