Election Results Show that Donald Trump will be the Next President of the United States

Last night’s results indicate a right-wing shift among the broader public in response to the inability of the Biden-Harris administration to meet everyday people’s needs and demands. A projected 51% of voters nationwide have chosen a candidate who scapegoats minorities for the problems produced by the ruling elites of this country.

Losses in key swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia point to the Democrats’ failure to capture or motivate key voters by bankrolling the most brutal genocide of our time. When over 75% of your voter base supports an arms embargo, it is a losing strategy to isolate them. We know that Trump will continue to bankroll Israel’s genocide against Gaza. We know that Trump will continue and intensify Biden’s violence on the Southern border. And we know that Trump will continue and intensify repression against marginalized communities, and American imperialist violence across the globe.

For the last year, the Palestine movement has mobilized millions of people across the country in the fight for Palestinian liberation. Today, we vow to expand that fight, to join forces with movements across this country in the fight against American violence both abroad and back home.

We must continue to build a mass movement that not only confronts America’s genocide in Gaza, but builds a vision for the world predicated on justice, dignity, and freedom. We must meet repression and criminalization with unity, and we must align the various targets of the Trump administration around a project built on a shared future.

Democrats in power have shown they do not have a moral conscience that will sway them to “do the right thing,” not on Palestine or any issue.. The people will bring an end to this genocide and will bring about change to the status quo, not through moral appeals to imperialist politicians, but through mass mobilization and grassroots organizing, such as a people’s arms embargo, that makes imperialist and oppressive policies untenable.

The struggle continues.
