As we marked one year of the Zionist occupation’s genocide in Gaza, the PYM — alongside ten partner organizations — launched The People Stand with Gaza: an international fundraiser to Strengthen the Steadfastness of our people. Through local fundraising initiatives, media campaigns, and businesses pledging their profits, we were able to raise our goal of $1 million in two months. This fundraiser supported our partners on the ground to continue to deliver hot meals (averaging 10,000 meals a day) and over 1 million gallons of water at a time when Gaza needs essential resources more than ever.
But as long as our people in Gaza continue to face this brutal genocide, our efforts to raise funds continue. This ongoing campaign seeks to support the steadfastness of our people in Gaza: meaning to support our people’s existence on the land, and create living conditions that counter Zionist initiatives to make the land unliveable. This campaign is an affirmation of our role in the diaspora: to mobilize as many segments of society in support of our people’s steadfastness.

This fundraiser in collaboration with the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Quebec (CPFQ) in Canada and Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) in the US and Europe is a call on us to assume our responsibility to tangibly support our people’s steadfastness on the land.
